St Alphonsus Medical Campus
St. Alphonsus was a particular challenging project due to the size, with revenues in excess of one million dollars, and aggressive completion schedule. Three separate buildings which included the Tower, Cancer Care, and Family Medical facilities utilized 42 different high-end vinyl and fabric wall coverings, and numerous colors and types of paint products. Our skilled tradesmen were able to ensure the job was done right...and right on time.
BoDo Development
This commercial project in the heart of downtown Boise is a great example of working on a job with many challenging aspects. Weather issues for winter exterior work, traffic due to the location of the project, and working during the “third shift” time period to cut down on the impact of our work during business hours, all added to the unique challenges of this project. Our professional staff of field and management team members all contributed to the success of this project.
Golden Bar Town Homes at Tamarack
Once again, National Coatings was the painting contractor trusted for a project of this size. This 24 multi-family building resort required high-end finishes for their complex. Utilizing a multitude of colors, needing both exterior and interior work, and also working during the winter months created a challenge that our experienced team successfully completed.
TRAVERSE CITY
Owada Casino
This beautiful gaming facility was a unique project to the Northern Michigan region due to its size and varying decor elements. The project utilized 14 different highly reflective Zolatone and Scuffmaster finishes, 23 different vinyl and fabric wall coverings, and a host of other paint colors to create a fun and festive atmosphere. Our ability to work with an aggressive completion schedule gave us the ability to finish before the highly publicized grand opening date.
Charlevoix Library
Remodeled from an abandoned two-story high school, the Charlevoix Library was a distinctive project for our ability to blend the new with the old. Refinishing the old woodwork, finishing the new woodwork to look like the old, and the overall decorative finishes make this a project that National Coatings is proud to display.
Oldsmobile Park
Located in busy downtown Lansing, this baseball stadium posed several challenges. Bad winter weather, a delayed construction schedule, and limited staging areas and parking due to the location, added to the already challenging aspect of the project’s high-end specialty finishes of epoxies, Zolatone, gloss finishes and wall coverings. Although construction was behind schedule, Opening Day stayed the same. National Coatings was trusted to complete this project before the opening pitch.
MARQUETTE
Island Resort and Casino Expansion
Located in Harris, Michigan, this project consisted of renovating the existing gaming area, as well as finishing the new eleven story hotel tower and entertainment theater additions. A multitude of different colors and wall covering types created the atmosphere appropriate for the clientele and big-name performers that this facility attracts. Our skilled tradesmen went “all in” to make this project a success.
Wadsworth Hall, MTU
Located on the beautiful campus of Michigan Tech, this project consisted of the complete renovation of the 5 story dormitory. “Wads”, as it is commonly referred to, really required a team effort to complete. Although this project had a tight completion schedule to avoid interference with the school calendar, and a multiple phases for this vast building, our experienced crew passed the test with flying colors.
Van Antwerp Hall, NMU
For three consecutive years, Northern Michigan University has trusted National Coatings for their renovation projects. Each year while students were on summer break, our skilled painters completed renovation projects in the campus dormitories. Van Antwerp Hall really had our crew studying the fine art of commercial painting, and we earned high marks for the completed project.
DENVER
Suncor Refinery
This has certainly been an interesting as well as challenging project from day one. In addition to being a very high profile project, it is very safety oriented and requires our employees to attend intensive training sessions. Based on our quality of work and the ability to be onsite at a moments notice, we are their preferred painting contractor. This project has been one of our core industrial projects for over 3 years.
Center for Disease Control (CDC)
This project utilized the impeccable skills of both our commercial and industrial painters. We had the opportunity to see how artistic our painters actually are with the ever changing design that required the use of Modern Masters Metallic Paint. With no specific pattern, the numerous colors of paint were randomly applied in various shapes and sizes. In addition to the Modern Masters Paint, we also applied a product called Dudick, which is a product that is applied in areas where sterilization and cleanability is of the utmost importance.
Peterson Air Force Base Shopping Complex
Creativity in addition to productivity was certainly a must for this project. This project consisted of a commissary, exchange, grocery store, food court and retail services. It included paint, wall covering and various graphics throughout. Once again it showed the versatility of our painters due to the detailed graphics that were chosen by the owner.
