History

National Coatings, Inc. is a painting contractor servicing the needs of our industrial and commercial clients. Founded in June of 1996 by Pat and Jan Burden, National Coatings has become the premier contractor for painting, specialty coatings, wall covering, and sandblasting services.

Before founding National Coatings, Pat Burden had been with Burdco Group and had over 20 years of experience in the painting business. His wife, Jan, had an extensive business background as a Business Manager for several non-profit organizations. When Burdco Group made their painting division available for sale, Pat and Jan decided to combine their painting and business management backgrounds to form National Coatings, Inc.

Now 14 years later, National Coatings, Inc. has become the trusted name for commercial and industrial painting. With regional locations in Boise, Idaho; Casper, Wyoming; Denver, Colorado; Traverse City and Marquette, Michigan, National Coatings has grown from a small business with eight administrative staff and forty painters, to a thriving company ready and able to tackle the largest and most complex commercial and industrial projects.  The extensive and impressive years of experience our seasoned staff brings to National Coatings, along with the commitment to building and maintaining the relationships with our clients, are the key factors that will continue to make National Coatings prosperous for many years.
